Don Henley, Ya Old Menley

Christgau, watch your back. America’s got a new “Dean of American Rock Critics,” and his name is Warner Todd Huston.

Writing at the conservative Creem (circa ‘71) magazine — Newsbusters — today, Huston cuts through the crap, and explains how the new Eagles album sucks because it wasn’t written by Darrel Worley. (No, Ana Marie, it’s not because the Eagles just plain ol’ “suck.”)
You see, as Huston makes clear, the Eagles “have forgotten about 9/11 and our enemies in radical Islam.” That’s why their new album sucks:
Not a word about Islamofascists trying to blow us all up, though. Nothing about bin Laddenists cutting off people’s heads, women being stoned, young girls being murdered with “honor killings,” or homosexuals being summarily executed from our pals the Eagles!
I fret to mention it, as if Don Henley and Joe Walsh’s Code Pink-ian fifth column isn’t enough to worry about, but another inherently anti-American musician is preparing to drop more pro-Al Gore propaganda in March:
THe jicks finished finished finished NEW album. Its titled “REal EMotional TRash”.
ONe HOur of Us–TOo much for my mirror????ITs will be officially released in March. WIth a tour of the USA co-in-side-ing. ANd probably so Euro/ASian dates after that.
Thankfully, we have Warner Todd Huston to vet it for us.
As a sign of The Lumberjack Thief’s appreciation for Huston’s ever-vigilant watch on the unhinged rantings of musical Hollyweird — trademark: Michelle Malkin — I present the kind of song I know he’ll approve of.
