I’m A Lumberjack And I’m Different

Sung by this man, Freedom Rock is an important song in the development of my musical ideology. Though it’s kind of libertarian (a political phase I’ve yet to go through), it was an early mix regular in those post-Napster days when I was just starting to horde songs. It had a lot to do with my friendship with AJ. But I don’t know in what way.
Frank Black - Freedom Rock (buy)
UPDATE: Looking at the lyrics of the song, specifically, the one that says “it’s clear” that “nobody owns the pleasures of tones,” my above libertarian description was off the mark. Frank Black is just a freedom lover and freedom loving isn’t exclusive to libertarians.

Awww… you linked to me. I was just about to harass you about not posting too. Seriously. Howard Wolfson posts way more than you and I’d imagine that maybe he’s a little bit busier. Maybe?
More thievery! More jacking of lumber! More derogatory remarks about Dave Moore, Maniac Emeritus!
(with my new camcorder, I plan to tape Dave throwing a boombox into the sea. I will watch that footage on a loop for hours every Sunday morning)
I’m trying to get back on it. The new theory is that I can let myself do short, quick posts and that will help me keep at it on a more daily basis.
